Happy Start of Lent 2012, and Your Occasion Input

Hi there our beautiful Blogger Arme.
We are posting to wish you a wonderful start of Lent to those who celebrate. Let us know what you are 'giving up' or 'adding in'.
We are also hoping for your valued input.
We want to do posts for all the events that you celebrate, but are aware there may be occasions that we are not easily aware of.
So we are asking that you either write on the comment stream, or email me [ contactalisonlouisebell@gmailcom ] to let us know the event/occasion name, date, and if needed a short explanation.
For example; "Christmas, December 25th, celebrates the Birth of Christ, but is also a time for non-religious people to celebrate joy and each other."

Hi Tink....would love to say I was giving up applying for DWP benefits for Lent.....but don't think that is happening somehow!!!! :-) Have already had to give up dairy and gluten.....that wouldn't count though....perhaps I should give up swearing.....that seems to have deteriorated over recent months...perhaps to do with all the 'spoons' in the day given over to the DWP....hmmmm!!!!! :-))
think i might join jane in the giving up swearing!! really need to give up chocolate, i know, i know, everyone says chocolate, but i REALLY DO eat far too much :)
Understand how the forms bring extra swearing ma'am. Took my father and i 6weeks to do as i can only cope with a little conversation at a time. Blooming forms r also so unsuited to neurological illnesses too! Easier to say 'i can't do 'x' because i broke my arm'. Oh the joys of M.E. ! X x

Isn't it when you have so little to give up! That's why i add in instead! I watch an entire tv show series, ie this time all 6 seasons of party of five. It's a great way to celebrate! Although actually the last 2years it means i watched No films during lent, so actually now has turned into a giving up too! Watching films is all i do all day so it's a big difference. Makes me realise, films make me evaluate my opinions, series makes me evaluate my emotions (the latter is harder!) Maybe you swearers should start swear boxes! Man that would make a lot of money! X x
